Monkey Head Mushroom Soup | 猴头菇保健汤 | Hou Tou Gu Bao Jian Tang

Ingredients: Monkey Head Mushroom, Wolfberries, Honey Dates, Dried Chinese Yam, Poria, Dried Lily Bulbs, Sea Coco

  1. Place ingredients in a strainer and rinse them under running water for 10 seconds.
  2. In a seperate bowl, place the monkey head mushrooms in it and fill the bowl up with water.
  3. Soak the monkey head mushrooms for at least 3 to 4 hours.
  4. Fill a pot with 1.5 litres of water, add all the ingredients (except wolfberries) in.
  5. Turn the flame on to high and bring the water to a boil. 
  6. Turn the flame down to medium-low and let soup boil for 40 minutes to 1 hour.
  7. Add in wolfberries 5 minutes before turning off the flame.
  8. Season the soup to your desired level of saltiness and serve.
  9. 600g of chicken or pork can be added to enhance the flavour of the soup.


  1. 用清水把材料洗净。
