Our Japanese Shiitake mushrooms are fragrant and meaty. Mushrooms are especially good for people who are looking to switch to a more plant-based diet as they flavour foods without the addition of meats. Mushrooms are also known to have some properties in fighting or preventing cancer. These thick winter mushrooms are the thickest that we have currently and they are most suited to be slow braised or stewed. They have the most crunchy and supple flesh.
